Race-Rite was founded to bridge the gap between traditional race shops and the level of service clients expect from a premium automotive business. We believe that clear communication, organized processes, and meticulous workmanship should be standard—whether we're supporting a championship-contending endurance racing program or maintaining a customer's weekend track car.

Based at Harris Hill Raceway in Central Texas, Race-Rite specializes in race car preparation, performance maintenance, trackside support, and driver-focused vehicle development. Whether we're helping a team compete at the front of the field, maintaining a dedicated track car, or helping a driver build confidence behind the wheel, our goal remains the same: deliver reliable, well-sorted vehicles and an exceptional client experience.

We understand that every hour at the track is valuable. That's why we focus on thorough preparation, clear communication, and proactive maintenance to help our clients spend less time dealing with problems and more time enjoying their track sessions.

Our team combines decades of hands-on automotive experience with a deep understanding of motorsports, data analysis, vehicle setup, and performance driving. From routine maintenance and inspections to custom race builds and trackside support, we approach every project with the same level of care and attention to detail.

Over the years, Race-Rite prepared cars have earned victories, podiums, and championships across multiple racing series. While we're proud of those results, we're even more proud of the relationships we've built with our clients and the community that surrounds our shop.

At the end of the day, motorsports isn't just our business - it's a major part of our lives. We spend countless weekends at the track supporting our clients, our team, and the cars we've helped prepare. That firsthand involvement gives us a unique understanding of what drivers need to perform with confidence when race day arrives.

Racing is Personal to us.

Race-Rite isn't simply a business we operate at a racetrack. Racing is woven into our family life. Our daughter attended her first ChampCar race at three months old. Many of the people who support Race-Rite are family or chosen family, and many clients have become close friends.

For us, a successful weekend isn't only measured by a finishing position. It's seeing a client climb out of the car knowing they just had one of the best racing experiences of their life.

Meet the Team

  • Patrick Billings

    FOUNDER & TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

    Patrick brings more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, including roles as a technician and shop foreman, factory certification with Lotus, and many years spent training and mentoring other technicians.

    A lifelong motorsports enthusiast, he especially enjoys solving complex mechanical “puzzles,” building cars that are reliable enough to go the distance, and helping clients get the most out of every race weekend. His approach is thoughtful, practical, and focused on creating cars that are not just fast, but well-sorted, dependable, and built to last.

  • Patricia Billings

    CO-OWNER & OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

    Patricia started her career in automotive sales and service before shifting her focus to accounting, business management, and operations over the past seven years.

    At Race-Rite, she manages the business side of the company, including operations, client communication, marketing, and race-weekend support. She especially enjoys the energy of race weekends and seeing clients push their cars to new personal bests, podiums, and records.

  • Tan Nguyen

    TECHNICIAN

    Tan brings 15 years of experience across high-performance and modern vehicle systems, including 7 years as a Certified Porsche Technician and 8 years as an EV Certified Technician with Tesla. His specialties include engine rebuilds, advanced electrical diagnostics, and solving complex mechanical problems through careful troubleshooting rather than guesswork.

    He takes particular pride in high-quality workmanship and getting difficult repairs right, bringing a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to every car he works on.

  • Nick Byrne

    TECHNICIAN

    Nick joined Race-Rite in July 2025, bringing a strong hands-on background and years of experience working on cars outside of a traditional shop environment.

    He especially enjoys custom fabrication and the fast-paced problem solving that comes with race weekends. Outside the shop, Nick spends much of his free time working on and driving his own drift car, continuing to build his skills and experience through motorsports.

The Silver Bullet Story

Silver Bullet has become the ultimate test machine for much of what Race-Rite believes in: thoughtful development, reliability, teamwork, and constantly finding the next improvement. Over the past several seasons, the car has taken us across the country, earned class wins and podiums, and given us countless opportunities to test our work where it matters most - on track.

Just as importantly, it has given us the chance to be part of an incredible team, introduce our daughter to the racing world, and make some of our favorite memories within the endurance racing community. For us, Silver Bullet is as much about the people, experiences, and fun of race weekends as it is about results.
